The Junior Tournament Bowlers Association rolled into Beaver-Vu Bowl on Sunday September 10, 2006 with 52 boys and 23 girls attempting to capture the JTBA Dayton Open. When the pins stopped falling Stacy Bradshaw of Ironton, OH won her 1st JTBA title and Adam Metzger of Erie PA, took home his 4th career JTBA title. Derek Roseberry of Louisville KY and Jessica Fleck of Kettering OH, were our second place finishers.

On the guys side, our 6 game leader was Mike Marsico of Owens, MD at +122. Marsico also won Saturday’s Midwest USA Junior Gold Qualifier. Tim Pfeifer of Cranberry Twp, PA finished third, and Richard Van Scoyk of Troy, IL was fourth. Roseberry and Richard Galya Jr of North Braddock Pa tied for high game for the boys at 278.

On the ladies side it was Lindsay Coulles of Centerville, OH leading the field at -5, on her way to a third place finish. Coulles also won Saturday’s Junior Gold Qualifier at Beaver Vu. Jessica Baker of Springfield was fourth. High game for the girls was Ashley Stahurski with 241.

As always we’d like to thank the folks at Dyno-Thane for contributing a bowling ball for the scholarship raffle, as well as Randy Hart for supplying our lane conditions. The staff at Beaver-Vu once again did a fantastic job of hosting us, and we look forward to returning again next year.

Next month's JTBA will be a first ever Saturday afternoon event at Westgate Lanes in Lima. Check in will begin at approximately 2PM for a 3 PM start. Andy Johnson and his staff are looking forward to a strong field for the JTBA’s first trip to Lima in 3 years. We hope to see everyone in Lima on the 14th.

Thanks for your support of the JTBA!
